Rest assured that our training system is the best way to meet your dog obedience training needs and maintain the level of training that you will quickly become accustomed to. When you take advantage of our Doggy Boot Camp program, we will offer three months of free group follow-up classes (at our Los Angeles / Pasadena area location). Please remember to ask us about it.
Basic Obedience is our most popular and successful program.
In Basic Obedience, a dog trainer will teach you how to train your dog at our location. The majority of training is done on-leash. At the end of this phase
Group Class
your dog will know Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, Down, Off, Leave it, and Place. Your dog will follow all these commands during distractions and without food bribes. When in heel (walk next to me) your dog will happily pay attention to which directions you choose to walk and stay with you. During Basic dog obedience training you will never hit or yell at your dog. All corrections are done (sparingly) and copious amounts of praise and love will be used to reinforce wanted behavior. A dog must be at least four months old to start this phase of training.
We get calls all the time from people who said their dog had "failed" dog obedience training. The problem usually is not the dog but what the other dog obedience school failed to successfully teach the owner. This is a shame and a waste of money. Beyond The Leash Dog Training understands that telling someone to "do this" is not good enough. You need to understand why you are doing something. We know it takes some people longer then others to understand what is being taught.
Advanced Obedience is for clients that have already completed Basic Dog Obedience and are ready to take their dog to the next level.
The focus of Advanced dog obedience training is off leash training. All commands will be worked on from a distance, with reliability off leash. Heavy distractions are added to insure the dog's reliability in a variety of circumstances.
Doggy Boot Camp is two-week boarding program that includes three months of follow up classes at our Los Angeles area location.
Most people who choose Doggy Boot Camp either have little time to train their dog, or are going away on vacation and want their dog trained when they return. Here's how it works.
One of our Los Angeles area dog trainers will take the dog into their home for two weeks. The dog will be trained 2-3 times every day, in the home, outside, near shopping centers, around other dogs, squirrels, people, cars etc. We introduce the dog to as many different circumstances as possible.
Between dog training sessions, your dog will have playtime, snacks, and walks. When the dog is ready to return home, a dog trainer will give you the first follow up lesson at our location when you arrive to pick up your dog. Beyond The Leash Dog Training insists on the follow up training sessions to make the training long lasting and effective.
A dog must be at least four months old to start this phase of training.
